The Relationship between the Dependency on Health Electronic Websites and Types of Health Behavior of Egyptian woman

Abstract

It definite that the media is considered one of the most important sources of health education for sectors of the public, especially women;
Where the Egyptian woman uses websites to obtain health information, in an attempt to increase her information collection, whether about the nature of various diseases, children's health, mental health, reproductive health, sexual education and other various health fields, and then Here appears the importance of the role of websites in providing reliable health information; This information can enhance women's health, especially in Egypt, combat many inherited negative habits, change their healthy behavior patterns, or adopt new healthy behaviors.
Research problem :
The research problem crystallizes in monitoring the patterns of health behavior of Egyptian women resulting from their reliance on health websites.
The research depended on two theories: (Information Seeking Theory and Dependency On Mass Communication Theory).
The research sample:
The researcher applied a field study to a deliberate sample of Egyptian women who use health websites over the Internet, taking into account the representation of age groups (18 years and over), as well as the representation of educational and economic levels according to the variable of work and type of education, where the study was applied to a sample consisting of (300) single.
The research results :
The most important results of the research that were reached: The phrase "I began to eat a lot of fresh vegetables and fruits" came at the forefront of the expressions agreed upon by the respondents in the study sample. Also, (77%) of the respondents in the study sample answered that the first reason for them to obtain health information through health websites was "that they are free and provide various health information"; Where it came at the forefront of the reasons, and (44.6%) of the respondents in the study sample stated that they depend on health websites as "one of the main sources", which came in the first rank. The most serious difficulties facing the respondents in the study sample was "the large number of electronic advertisements on the site" in the first rank.
