Abstract

This study aimed to understand the impact of political talk shows presented on Palestinian satellite channels on the Palestinian public's attitudes toward Palestinian crises. It sought to identify the methods used to increase viewership and engagement, the channel's strategy during crises, the ways crises are presented, and the persuasive techniques employed by these political talk shows. Furthermore, the research explored the effect of partisanship and bias on the outcomes of covering these crises through such programs, the degree to which Palestinian satellite channels respect the audience's intelligence, and the extent of harmony and interaction between the Palestinian public and political talk shows. Additionally, it examined the factors and variables that weaken or strengthen the formation of their knowledge and attitudes toward these crises, and whether there is a relationship between exposure to political talk shows and the formation of these attitudes.
Among the study's most significant findings was that the largest proportion of the Palestinian public follows the crisis of the Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip. The forced displacement of Gaza Strip residents (Trump's plan) ranked second in terms of public follow-up. The truce agreement crisis between Hamas and the Israeli occupation came in third, followed by the suffering of prisoners in occupation prisons, and then the suffering of displaced persons in shelters in the Gaza Strip.
