The Prospective of Egyptian University Students regarding Social Media boycotting Initiatives as a Mean of Supporting Gaza

Abstract

The current study aimed to uncover the effect of boycotting calls and campaigns on social media on the Egyptian Uni youth as a tool to support Gaza, in addition to revealing their perception towards the Anti-boycotting campaigns on social media, the study applied the survey as a tool to measure the Egyptian Uni Students perception reached some results, it found out that the Egyptian youth were highly interactive with boycotting campaigns on social media in Favor to supporting the boycotting calls, the results also showed that the sample practiced a pressure on other users online in several ways to push them to support boycotting campaign and they even utilized unusual aggressive practices against anyone that who was anti- boycotting such as attacking them in private or even blocking them online forever.
