Practicing school media activities and their relationship to raising awareness about the dimensions of economic education among middle school students

Abstract

The current study aims to study the relationship between middle school students’ practice of school media activities and developing their awareness of the various dimensions of economic education, in terms of studying the differences between students who practice school media activity and non-practitioners in developing their awareness of the dimensions of economic education,The study relied on two types of samples: a probability sample (simple random) and a non-probability sample (purposive), consisting of (400) individuals from five educational departments from middle school schools in the Gharbia Governorate. This study belongs to descriptive studies, and the researcher used the survey method, It relied on (the questionnaire - the economic education scale) as tools for the study,The most important results of the study showed that practicing school media activities in its various forms clearly contributed to developing the awareness of practicing students about the various dimensions of economic education. The study recommended the importance of shedding more light on economic education by school media activities and educational institutions and motivating students to be aware of its dimensions and master its skills and the necessity Establish a curriculum for it to be taught in schools. In addition to motivating specialists to encourage students to promote economic education culture and awarding them for excellence in media coverage of all aspects of economic education.
