The Role of Artificial Intelligence Techniques in Developing Methods for displaying journalistic content on Egyptian Websites to Facilitate access to People with hearing and visual disabilities

Abstract

Artificial intelligence is considered the most important outcome of the Fourth Industrial Revolution, due to its multiple uses in all fields (industrial, economic, medical, media, and other fields). Experts expect more uses of these modern technologies in the future, which will result in radical changes in all aspects of life, as artificial intelligence will be the engine. Progress, growth and prosperity over the coming years.
This study aims to achieve the following objectives:
1- Learn about the concept of artificial intelligence techniques from the perspective of specialists in the field of artificial intelligence.
2- Identify the extent of the possibility of using artificial intelligence techniques in developing the visual presentation of electronic news content.
3- Developing an interactive news model based on artificial intelligence to improve access to electronic news content for people with disabilities, so that it suits people with hearing and visual disabilities.
The sample of the current study is a sample of specialists in the field of artificial intelligence, in addition to a sample of editorial directors and department heads in some Egyptian press institutions.
This study provides a theoretical framework for the theory of technology acceptance, as one of the modern theories that came in response to technical developments and keeping pace with them.
Key findings:
-  The most important negative effects resulting from the increasing reliance on the use of artificial intelligence techniques in the field of journalism are: (bias for content , loss of traditional journalistic jobs, impact on the quality of journalistic content, threat to security and privacy, increased dependence on technology, gradual removal of the human element, ethical threats, financial and economic challenges).
- The current study also found that researchers from editorial managers and heads of departments stressed that there are some difficulties and challenges that may hinder the implementation of this model proposed by artificial intelligence experts, namely:
1- Artificial intelligence techniques are not programmed in Arabic because they can read English.
2- Economic obstacles represented in the high cost necessary to implement the infrastructure for the use of artificial intelligence in journalism .
3- Lack of qualified human resources.
