The effect of the determinants of shaping the writing structure of the press article in Arabic websites on the level of readability of university youth: A quasi-experimental study

Abstract

Proceeding from the growing importance that stylistic analysis attaches to the reader’s role in dealing with linguistic and technical stimuli and stimuli inherent in the content and judgments issued by the reader towards the text according to the effect of these stimuli, and in agreement with modern literary theories that elevate the reader’s position in deconstructing and constructing a new meaning of the text, these The study aimed to reveal the determinants of shaping the writing structure of press articles on Arab websites by analyzing the narrative and its impact on the level of readability among university youth. And the experiment to collect information, and the study reached a number of results, the most important of which are:
1) The continued dominance of traditional forms, specifically the inverted pyramid template, on newspaper article writing templates in general.
2) Instability and stability of the media function of the articles under study, through the lack of real and actual transmission of events and facts, not expressing them as they are, and using rhetorical images to describe them or bring their significance to the recipient.
3) The newspaper articles under study in general employed the use of construction sentences in their content, because of the opinion they carry of the editor who wants to convey it to the reader, with some minor exceptions in which the study sites resorted to quoting from a specific source, and published the quotation as it is.
