Elite trends towards employing security media for artificial intelligence applications in combating cybercrime and its implications for supporting and strengthening cybersecurity in Egypt: field study

Abstract

The study aims to identify the trends of the Egyptian elite towards the security media’s employment of artificial intelligence applications in combating cybercrime and supporting and strengthening cyber security in Egypt, as well as the elite’s assessment of the role of smart applications in the production of security content, through recruitment mechanisms, positive and negative influences, challenges, problems and employment proposals in light of Professional and ethical standards for new media. The study relied on the survey method and the questionnaire tool by applying it to a deliberate sample of (106) individuals distributed among the "media, security and academic" elites. The production of its security content, and data journalism topped the new media applications that benefited the most, followed by video journalism, mobile journalism, and drone journalism. and its diversity, which reduces the efforts of media professionals in live coverage and Orientation towards creativity and content development, emphasizing the possibility of using security media applications in studying and analyzing a large volume of information and data and identifying the dimensions of cybercrime and its negative effects on the security of society.
