Media Students Behavior in Seeking Information Related to The Sustainable Development Strategy “Egypt Vision 2030” Through Social Media and its Role in Building Their Expectations Towards the Future of Egypt

Abstract

The study aims to monitor ways to obtain information related to the sustainable development strategy Egypt Vision 2030 through social networking sites and its effects, by proposing a proposed scientific model consisting of three theories (scientific models) that combine them to provide a comprehensive vision in analyzing the role of social networks in Building future expectations for its users, By applying to an available sample of 150 items, they were drawn equally by 50 students from the Faculties of Mass Communication in three universities: Cairo University, Al-Ahram Canadian University, Al-Azhar University; To test the effect of the education pattern on the variables of the current study, The study reached a number of results, including: The degree of awareness of students of media colleges of the importance of this strategy among members of the Egyptian community reached 40%, On the other hand, perceptions regarding the media coverage of this strategy by traditional media were biased to be limited to support only, which had an impact on the perception of the factors affecting the evaluation of the credibility of information sources on social media sites regarding that strategy, which came in the forefront of Facebook, which The rate of its use was 78.7%. As for the behaviors of seeking information through that site, they were generally positive in favor of Al-Azhar media students, which had an impact on their future expectations towards the Egyptian state, which was dominated by the positive nature. As 54% of students expected to improve the quality of life of all Egyptians by 2030, as for their potential future behaviors, they were found to be more likely to engage in positive behaviors in support of the state.
