The study seeks to know whether the exposure to entertainment content in strenght family bonding by gathering family members and selecting specific entertainment content and being exposed to it or this exposure is widening the gap between family member by creating possible isolation and alienation. Thus, the study conducted (22) in-depth interviews with parents and children from Egyptian families in November (2018).
The findings show that the main motive of exposing to entertainment content is amusement and spending the spare time in addition to acquisition of new experncies. Also, family members prefer to watch entertainment contents alone due to the differences in tastes and this means that entertainment contents increase family disintegration.
