The role of digital media in promoting awareness of the blue economy to keep pace with Africa Agenda 2063

Abstract

Digital media is a new type of media that shares the concept, general principles and goals with traditional media, and is distinguished from it by relying on a new method of modern media represented in merging the various traditional means of communication and making them into a single method.
Among the most important objectives of the research:
• Identify the role that digital media plays in forming public awareness and the degree of its interaction with the issues of the blue economy and economic development. As well as relying on him as a source of his information
The research used the descriptive and quantitative approach to identify the features of the phenomenon and determine the reasons for its existence, by designing a questionnaire prepared to collect field data related to the research topic and analyzing it descriptively using content analysis and quantitatively using statistical treatment, the most important of which is estimating the correlation coefficient (R), multiple regression.
The most important results for monitoring the role of digital media in enhancing awareness of a sustainable blue economy 2063 The personality of the President of the Republic is the most present figure in the content of the blue economy on Egyptian websites (Al-Masry Al-Youm, Al-Shorouk News, and the Ministry of Investment and International Cooperation), respectively, at rates of (40.5% and 32%). The economic pivot figure is the dominant one on the African Union and World Bank websites, where the members of the Blue Economy and Sustainable Development Committee are the most prominent figures in the content of the blue economy, as well as the increase in browsing rates for the public of investors to 41.6%, and experts from economic analysts and in the environmental and media fields by 38.4 %
There is a strong and statistically significant positive correlation between the number of surfers and the following sites (United Nations Environment - the African Union - the World Bank - Ministry of Investment and International Cooperation) and between the utilization of digital technologies, the number of views and the interaction of the surfers with issues of the blue economy.
