The study aims to explore the discourse of religious comparison pages on Facebook in light of the assumptions of the Five Steps Social Identity Model of the Development of Collective Hate, known as “Building the Virtue of Evil” by applying to “archeological Umm Zakaria ” and “Christianity against the Mind "pages, through a comprehensive content analysis of all what was published by these pages from its inception until the end of September 2019.
The researcher reached the following results:
The decrease in the numerical density of hate speech publications on these pages, which was explained by the study above, but it confirmed that these publications, despite their limitations, were very dangerous in terms of qualitatively due to the manipulation, forgery and incitement in the content presented. The researcher explained the evasion and manipulation of these pages in their data and communication platforms with their audiences throughout the study period, given that these pages have suffered from blocking and closing more than once, because of the offensive content it publishes that incites hatred of the others religion, the owners demonstrated an insistence that calls for the studying of the motives behind their continuation in these electronic activities. The study proved that religious hate speech emerged as a media discourse directed by four main reasons (religion, satire, violence and sexuality), and that it employed a system of persuasive persuasions such as simplification, symbols, stereotypes, falsification and repetition, as well as amassing an arsenal of emotional appeals stemming from provoking hatred, intimidation, provocation and disgust in exchange for a weak and formal presence of mental complacencies.
