Abstract

This study aimed to determine the expected role of the competent media in identifying the problems faced by the integration of people with disabilities in schools, and whether the media was able to convey a clear picture of integration in the Egyptian society about these problemsin Dakahlia Governorate, because the social survey is the most appropriate curriculum for descriptive studies at the societal level. The research community was determined from broadcasters in the middle of the delta, and it was conducted on 24 broadcasters by a comprehensive inventory method, and the data were collected from 1/5/2018 to 30/6/2018. The study reached several results, the most important of which are the following:
- The respondents' answers positively confirmed the existence of a strong relationship between the media and its role in understanding the integration process and enabling children to learn directly in the regular classroom.
- In light of the first hypothesis where it was stated (the problem of inclusion in regular schools hinders the media from playing its role in the fullest manner, especially in the rural community), it has been proven correct in the two aspects related to social and psychological factors, but it has not been proven incorrect in relation to health factors.
- The second hypothesis states (The problems of integration hinder the performance of the media from keeping pace with the educational development around the world and its application in the schools of integration), this hypothesis has been proven correct, as the societal factors came in second place in terms of the importance of factors for their leading role in organizing society, with a relative degree of 75.76%.
- The third hypothesis states (the media impede the dissemination of full awareness of the importance of inclusion through its various programs). The results of the study proved the validity of this hypothesis as well, as organizational factors ranked third in terms of importance in hindering the media from spreading full awareness and performing its role in organizing the process of educational integration within regular schools, with a relative degree of 59.89%.
