Abstract
Now, Qatar’s crisis is happening with the four Arab countries (Egypt, Saudi Arabia, the UAE and Bahrain) comes in light of difficult political and security conditions in the Arab world, and a state of mistrust and cooperation between Qatar and the four Arab countries in dealing politically, media and security issues with terrorism and extremist groups that threaten the entity and existence of Arab countries And this situation was reflected in the great disparity in the political positions of the Arab countries towards these groups and movements, and the subsequent great tension in relations, which led to the existence of new features for the Arab region that prepared to ignite the conflict and increase its intensity. The media in general and electronic newspapers, in particular, were not in isolation from this. Rather, it participated to a large degree in addressing the crisis and managing its political, military and economic repercussions.
In this context, the researcher dealt with the Arab press discourse to sever relations with Qatar, in newspapers representing countries with different orientations towards the Qatar crisis 2017, given the exceptional nature of these events through which each country tries to highlight its political position, and even justify what it has done. As for the public’s actions, especially if they are directly related to this crisis, given the different political positions of the four Arab countries - Egypt, Saudi Arabia, the Emirates and Bahrain, on the one hand, and Qatar on the other hand, and Kuwait, Oman and Jordan on the third hand, of the 2017 Qatar crisis, it has become important to test the impact of The political positions of countries in building and shaping the trends of the Arab press discourse in the Arab newspapers, and accordingly the study problem was determined in knowing the trends of the Arab press discourse towards severing relations with Qatar - an analytical study of a sample of the Arab electronic newspapers dealing with the most prominent ideas and active forces that were employed in this discourse .
The results of the study proved that the impact of the political position of the Arab countries on the crisis of severing the relations of the four Arab countries (Egypt, Saudi Arabia, the Emirates and Bahrain) to Qatar, emerged in the Arab press discourse of the electronic newspapers under study. The newspapers (Al-Ittihad of the Emirates and Al-Ahram and Al-Qabas of Kuwait) agreed that Turkey and Iran are one of the most important components of the dispute with Qatar, as the security cooperation between them opened the door of Doha to the penetration of the Iranian Revolutionary Guards and the threat to its neighbours, and the study results concluded that Al-Ahram newspaper was interested in the thesis of the position of Western countries, especially the United States of America from the four Arab countries boycott of Qatar.
