Abstract

The study aimed to identify the most important features and characteristics of sports info graphics in Egyptian sports sites during the CAF 2019 African Nations Championship, and to identify the most important differences between established e-sports sites and electronic versions of sports supplements and newspapers during the period from June 19, 2019 to July 17, 2019 using the media richness theory. The study used the case study method, the sample survey, and the comparative method. The general results of the study showed a great deal of interest in the art of info graphics on the part of the Egyptian sports websites; As the number of info graphics during the analysis period (throughout the African Nations Cup) reached (946) info graphics (this number decreased significantly after Egypt’s exit from the tournament in the sixteenth round). Compared to the number of info graphics that the latest scientific research has limited - as far as the researcher knows - during a whole year to five Egyptian websites, it amounted to (899) info graphics. The results also showed that the study sample websites benefited from the richness of the digital medium of the Internet.
